Qualified Dental Nurse - Royal Hospital - Band 4

We are currently recruiting for a Qualified Dental Nurse to join our team. This role will be based across the Special Care team, also supporting Restorative Department. The main work site will be The Royal London Dental Hospital in Whitechapel.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a compassionate and caring approach to patients, be well organised, well presented, practice excellent Infection Prevention and Control, be flexible in their approach to work, be able to work effectively as part of a team, as well as using their own initiative.

The Special Care Department is a busy multidisciplinary team which provides a range of dental treatment to our patients, including delivery of care using conscious sedation. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with a range of staff including consultants, specialist dentist's and DCT's.

In becoming a Barts Health Dental Nurse you will be joining an organisation in which safe and compassionate care is at the heart of what we do, and that includes our staff. Candidates must hold a Dental Nursing qualification & a Sedation qualification. Have a good level of experience working as a Qualified Dental Nurse & experience working within Special Care or the Community dental service. Registration with the GDC is mandatory.

Previous experience of working within a Dental Hospital and or within the Special Care department, is desirable.

The qualified dental nurse is an integral member of the dental team. They play an important role in the provision of dental services and the effective operation of the dental institute and outreach facilities.
