Qualified Dental Nurse, Royal London Hospital – Band 4

We are currently seeking applications from GDC registered qualified dental nurses to join our Dental Team at Barts Health NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work within the Restorative Dental team at The Royal London Dental Hospital in Whitechapel. This role requires a compassionate, caring approach to patients, excellent organisational skills, good presentation, and adherence to infection prevention and control practices.

Flexibility, teamwork and initiative are also essential.

• Provide high‑quality dental nursing support as part of a multidisciplinary team (consultants, specialist dentists, DCTs, registers, postgraduate students).
• Assist with conscious sedation procedures and support the safe delivery of dental care.
• Maintain infection control and hygiene protocols.
• Work effectively as part of the team and use initiative as required.
• Support training and continuous professional development.

• GDC registration / a dental nurse qualification recognised by the GDC.
• Experience working as a qualified dental nurse.
• Evidence of continued professional development.
• Mandatory sedation qualification; post‑certificate in conscious sedation dental nursing is desirable.
• Experience working within a Dental Hospital or similar setting is desirable.

• Post‑qualification in Conscious Sedation Dental Nursing.
• Experience in a hospital or similar setting.
• Interest in undergoing further sedation training.

• Salary: £31,944 – £34,937 per annum (inclusive of benefits).
