RoleAudio Visual Production Technician
Our Technology Team partners with teams across Expedia Group to create innovative products, services, and tools to deliver high-quality experiences for travelers, partners, and our employees. We’re looking for a creative, technically skilled Audio-Visual Production Specialist to join our team. We are a tight group of passionate and creative individuals who consistently support each other in delivering first-class performance in our productions.
We are looking for a new team member: a dynamic individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment. As an AV Production Specialist for Content Creation and Events, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional projects as a skilled individual with a strong technical background and creative flair.
In this role, you will :
- Lead end-to-end video projects from footage caption and editing to final delivery, ensuring content is polished, professional, and on-brand
- Translate briefs into compelling visual stories, demonstrating strong narrative thinking and creative direction
- Deliver first class video and audio production for live events, including setup, operation, and troubleshooting
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency operating within Blackmagic video production environment, Sonny Cameras and lenses and post-production software
- Troubleshoot and maintain audio-visual equipment, ensuring optimal performance
- Work with footage from multi-camera shoots, screen recordings, voice-overs, and motion graphics
- Collaborate with event producers to create highlight reels, teaser videos, or recap content after major events
- Maintain organized media libraries, project files, and ensure all outputs meet technical specs and brand guidelines
- Excellent attention to detail and comfortable communicating with senior and C-Suite Executive stakeholders
- Build strong cross-team relationships and identify opportunities for improvement
- Must be able to identify risks, ask the right questions, and escalate issues appropriately.
- You will develop and maintain support documentation for use by all levels of support personnel
- You will work with other Expedia Group teams, such as corporate communications, product and marketing, in planning and leading events onsite at Expedia Group offices and offsite locations.
- Travelling and shift work may be required, including some weekends to support specific projects and travel to other Expedia Group locations for event support and production delivery alongside other team members.
- 3+ years of Video Production and Video Editing
- 3+ years of Events Production
- Proven ability to craft stories visually, being comfortable turning a creative brief into a narrative
- Experienced in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, Audition, and basic motion graphics
- Experienced with lighting setups for filming and camera equipment (Sony preferred)
- Experienced in event show calling, broadcast and live streaming, Blackmagic video matrix and switchers
- Fluent understanding of signal flow, able to perform root cause analysis on the spot, and capable of reading and creating line diagrams.
- Familiar with colour correction, multi-cam workflows, sound design software tools and audio treatment principles
- Able to work autonomously and handle multiple editing projects simultaneously
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to take ownership of assigned work and deliver results timely, reliably, and accurately.
- Comfortable receiving feedback, iterating quickly, and working in a team-oriented creative environment
- Working knowledge across all IT disciplines including hardware, software, and network.
- Strong foundation in motion graphics, Photography and podcast editing
- Experienced in colour correction for video post-production
- Background in branded storytelling or content strategy
