Purpose of the Role

The Smiley Company is looking for a passionate and ambitious Social Media & Content Executive to join our team. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain in-depth experience in social media management, and creative content development for a global brand.

In this role, you will support the Smiley social team across a wide range of projects, including the day-to-day management of the Smiley and Smiley Movement social channels. You’ll contribute to the creation and curation of engaging, social-first content, manage the content calendar, and deliver platform-appropriate copy that brings each brand’s personality to life. You will also help shape and refine Smiley’s tone of voice across its distinct brand identities.

As Social Media & Content Executive, you will play an important role in strengthening Smiley’s digital presence across multiple lifestyle categories, from fashion to beauty to home. Working closely with the Senior Social Media Manager, you’ll support campaign development, community engagement, and ongoing channel optimisation to drive meaningful results.

Key Responsibilities Social Media & Community Management
  • Own daily community management across all Smiley and Smiley Movement social platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, Linked In, and Pinterest.
  • Maintain a consistent, on-brand presence by responding to comments, DMs, and community interactions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor channel performance and audience sentiment, escalating opportunities or risks where needed.
Content Creation & Execution
  • Confidently create social-first content, with emphasis on shooting and editing short-form video assets for Tik Tok and Instagram Reels.
  • Deliver high-quality copywriting tailored to each platform, adapting voice and messaging for different brand identities - from high-fashion editorial storytelling for Smiley to purpose-led, impact-focused messaging for Smiley Movement.
  • Curate, manage, and maintain a dynamic content schedule that drives consistent, high-impact storytelling across all channels.
  • Work closely with internal teams to source assets, brief designers, and ensure content aligns with wider brand objectives.
Campaign Support
  • Support the Senior Social Media Manager in planning and executing social media campaigns across multiple brands.
  • Identify relevant UGC creators, supporting briefing, content coordination, and asset delivery.
  • Assist in monitoring campaign performance and gathering insights for optimisation.
  • Use social listening, analytics, and scheduling tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Sprinklr) to track channel performance, content effectiveness, and community insights.
  • Produce regular reporting dashboards, summarising key metrics, learnings, and recommendations for continual platform and content improvement.
  • Stay informed of algorithm updates, platform behaviours, emerging features, and digital trends to enhance the strategic direction of each channel.
