Overview
The Clothing Lounge is where you will discover the newest fashion designers and learn about the latest trends from around the world. The Clothing Lounge is where fashion visionaries build their labels and start their fashion careers. We’re looking for intern writers to contribute analytical fashion articles to an independent editorial publication. This role is writing-focused. It is not social media management, influencer content, or PR writing.
Responsibilities- Analyse fashion and brand trends
- Question common advice and assumptions
- Break down what works vs what looks good
- Help readers interested in entering fashion think more clearly
- Starting a fashion brand
- Pop-ups and retail myths
- Marketing and “storytelling” trends
- Costs, exposure, and early mistakes
- Why certain strategies fail at early stages
Articles are published under a clear editorial voice. You’ll receive direction, feedback, and edits. This role is suited to someone who:
- Enjoys writing and analysis
- Is interested in fashion as a business, not just aesthetics
- Can follow a defined editorial tone
- Is comfortable questioning popular narratives
- Can work independently and meet deadlines
You do not need previous journalism experience.
- Strong written English
- Clear thinking
- Willingness to be edited
- Attention to detail
