ROLE OVERVIEWBased within our IMS department, the Localisation Producer will be responsible for the localisation of all film marketing assets from our international studio‑based accounts. They will co‑ordinate the localisation of audio, graphics and subtitles using our Media Asset Management system. Ensuring the accurate QC‑ing of localised assets during the production process then delivering to client for review and ultimate final delivery.
The Localisation Producer will ensure that the production of localised assets flows in a timely manner and adheres to PPC’s high standards of quality and meets the client’s deadlines.
- Acting as point of contact for clients, responding to them in a timely manner. Consulting with them to understand and fulfilling their localisation needs and ensuring due dates are met.
- Responsible for briefing accurate and clear localisation briefs into our MAMs system for our in-house production teams to undertake. Ensuring asset set ups are reviewed and validated within the MAMs prior to localisation production commencing.
- Thoroughly QC‑ing all localised assets at each stage of the production cycle in a timely manner to ensure they are accurate for client final review.
- Dealing with client modifications to localisation orders with internal production.
- Providing support to the Account Director.
- 2 years’ experience working as a producer within a post‑production agency is essential.
- Excellent customer service skills and effective at building relationships with clients. The ability to communicate with internal clients at all levels in a clear, calm and polite manner.
- Working knowledge of the post‑production process. Understanding of editing, GFX, audio & finishing processes.
- Technical understanding of digital file formats and production processes; ranging from DCP theatrical specs, HD/SD digital broadcast specs and additional file formats
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Extremely organised and high degree of initiative.
- Sound knowledge of Mac and PC based operating systems, including knowledge of Smartsheet and ability to learn in house media asset management systems.
- Fluency in a European language desired.
