This role is focused on elevating the online presence of a leading UK scrap metal marketplace by creating and managing engaging, authentic content tailored to UK trades such as electricians, builders, plumbers, demolition crews, and HVAC specialists. The primary objective is to build industry awareness and position the platform as the central hub for the metal recycling community. The successful candidate will produce 15–20 reels per month, leveraging both original filming days and contributions from micro-creators.
Content will center on real price results, practical jobsite tips, ease of collection and payment, and relatable trade experiences, ensuring all material is informative, useful, and resonates with the target audience without being overly sales-driven. Example content includes educational reels, industry insights, interviews, and entertaining yet relevant videos specific to the scrap industry.
- Plan, script, and produce 15–20 high-quality reels per month, focusing on educational and engaging content for UK trades.
- Collaborate with micro-creators to source and curate additional content.
- Highlight real price results, practical tips, and authentic trade experiences in all content.
- Conduct interviews and gather industry insights to inform and enrich video material.
- Ensure all content aligns with the brand’s tone and is tailored to the needs and interests of the target audience.
- Monitor engagement metrics and adjust content strategy to maximize reach and impact.
- Demonstrated experience in social media management and content creation, ideally within trade, construction, or related sectors.
- Strong video production and editing skills, with a portfolio showcasing engaging short-form content (e.g., reels, Tik Tok, You Tube Shorts).
- Ability to develop authentic, non-salesy content that educates and entertains.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working alongside creators and stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of UK trade audiences and the scrap metal/recycling industry is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with social media platforms (Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook) and relevant analytics tools.
- Based in the UK or with a strong understanding of UK trade culture and industry trends.
- Availability for part-time, contract-based work.
