Overview
East London Waterworks Park is looking for editors and content designers to contribute to public engagement content creating our community-owned park.
What difference will you make?Your content editorial will be instrumental in fostering a strong connection between our community, the park, and its biodiversity. Your input will help us craft compelling narratives that inspire, educate, and engage our service users, stakeholders, funders, and the general public, ultimately driving support for the park's mission and ensuring its long-term sustainability.
What are we looking for?Strategic leads focused on amplifying community voices and green initiatives. Expert in high-accuracy editing, storytelling, and multi-platform content design for diverse audiences. Skilled in visual hierarchy, CMS, and Canva to enhance narrative impact. Passionate about urban sustainability and local engagement, I combine creative vision with a proactive, collaborative approach to inspire action for nature and community-led projects.
What will you be doing?Volunteer-led East London Waterworks Park won a 2024 NLA award and raised £2m towards buying the 14-acre Lea Bridge Thames Water Depot to turn into a new biodiverse park with natural swimming, forest schools, and community spaces.
We are looking for writers, editors and content designers to participate in our community-led working group who are growing support of the project through public engagement work. The Comms Circle meets monthly on Tuesday evenings on Google Meet.
