The Brand and Creative team define and drive the creative vision and strategic direction of our key customer facing brands, ensuring consistency, innovation, and integration across all touchpoints.

They set the standard for brand identity, digital experiences, and marketing by developing guidelines, assets, and platforms that execution teams follow and use to shape everything they do. The team collaborates with all areas of the business as well as external agencies to deliver best in class brand experiences for our customers and colleagues. As Senior Designer, you ll play a critical role in elevating the quality of our work while ensuring it delivers against our business goals.

You ll be working across all 3 of our brands (BT, EE and Plusnet), collaborating with strategists, copywriters, and brand managers to develop and deliver brand assets and integrated campaigns across TV, digital, social and demand generation making sure everything we put out is cohesive, impactful, and on brand. You ll be the person who brings clarity to complex briefs and helps drive our team forward with fresh thinking and high standards.

Your role is essential to maintaining the creative excellence our brands count on.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design execution of campaigns and brand work, translating creative concepts into outstanding visual design
  • Set design standards and quality benchmarks for all visual work on your brand
  • Provide clear art direction and design guidance to your team throughout the creative process
  • Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing team of graphic and digital designers, overseeing workload, nurturing talent and fostering a collaborative, supportive creative culture
  • Oversee design production across all channels - digital, print, social, outdoor, retail etc, ensuring brand consistency, technical accuracy, creative excellence and accessibility standards are met throughout every deliverable
  • Act as guardian of visual brand identity and design consistency, contributing to the evolution of brand guidelines, design systems, and visual standards; overseeing brand systems and asset libraries and ensuring all creative work strengthens brand identity
  • Work closely with the Principal Creative to execute their creative vision, collaborating across creative, digital, production and client-facing teams to bring design concepts to life from idea through final delivery
  • Drive efficient, high-quality design delivery by creating scalable design systems, streamlined workflows and rigorous quality controls
  • Find creative solutions when briefs have complex constraints or technical challenges
  • Troubleshoot design issues and provide solutions that maintain creative intent
  • Balance creative ambition with practical considerations like budget and timeline
  • Keep up with design trends, tools, and emerging technologies
  • Experiment with new design techniques, software, or approaches
  • Attend industry events or engage with design communities
Qualifications
  • Significant experience in graphic or visual design, with a strong ability to create impactful, high-quality work
  • Experience leading, coaching, or supporting a team of designers in a collaborative environment
  • A portfolio that showcases creative excellence across a variety of channels, formats, and brand work
  • Hands-on experience delivering integrated campaigns from initial concept through to final execution
  • Experience working with well-known consumer brands or similarly complex brand environments
  • A track record of maintaining brand consistency while still finding opportunities to push creativity
  • Experience managing design production and working effectively with external suppliers or partners
Desirable
  • Experience working within an in-house creative team, agency, or brand-side studio
  • A background spanning both digital and traditional design disciplines
