Location: Greater London
Create has teamed up with a menswear brand well know for their craftmanship. They're seeking an experienced Senior Garment Technologist to play a pivotal role in maintaining and elevating the fit, quality, and consistency of our menswear collections. Working closely with Design, Product Development, Quality Control, Production, and external suppliers, this role oversees garments from initial concept through to bulk production, ensuring every product meets their exacting standards and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead garment fit and technical development from concept through final production
- Partner closely with Design and Product Development to ensure consistent fit, quality, and construction across all categories
- Liaise with external pattern cutters to develop and refine patterns for new and existing silhouettes
- Own and maintain detailed technical files, documenting fit, construction, and workmanship from prototype to bulk
- Manage the pattern library, ensuring factories are working from the latest approved versions
- Organise and lead fit meetings, including weekly fit lists and coordinating fit sessions with the Design team
- Prepare garments for fittings, ensuring accurate labelling, measurements, and implementation of prior fit comments
- Communicate clear, detailed fit and construction feedback to suppliers
- Create, maintain, and refine graded size charts and grade rules across all styles
- Define and approve care label content
- Review Production Size Sets, analysing discrepancies and advising on fit and commercial considerations
- Work closely with QC and Warehouse teams to resolve quality issues
- Analyse returns data to identify fit or fabrication concerns and proactively improve future production
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in a senior garment technology role, specialising in menswear
- Strong experience across knitwear, woven, jersey, and outerwear
- Deep technical knowledge of garment construction, pattern cutting, and grading
- Confident working directly with external suppliers, pattern cutters, and factories
- Highly organised, detail-driven, and methodical in approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator
Based in there Savile Row, London headquarters, with occasional travel to our Bethnal Green QC hub.
