Senior Designer - Tailoring -Skirts, Trousers ladieswear

Overview

The ideal candidate must have approx 8 years experience designing on tailoring, skirts or trousers either for a supplier or retail brand. Ideally experience with for young high street accounts. The designer must be confident and able to work within a fast paced environment. You will work closely with the Sales Director and the designers in China to create trend led ranges, research global trends and keep ahead of the competition.

• The ability to identify current trends and shapes from catwalks to blog sites, comp shop trips and translate into commercial product and also produce customer trend analysis presentation boards.
• A good knowledge of techniques, fabrics and finishes.
• Ability to work within design briefs and understand buying sign off requirements.
• All applicants must have excellent and extensive knowledge and practical use of both Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
• Applicants must have a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent knowledge of print and able to produce high quality specification sheets for samples to be made in China and be able to liaise with the China development office.
• Good organisational skills and time management.
• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
• The ability to adapt to situations and deadlines by keeping a level head, thinking outside the box and able to work independently as well as working well in a team.
• Presenting Ranges to Directors and Buyers

• Experience:
  
  approximately 8 years designing on tailoring, skirts or trousers for supplier or retail brand.
• Experience with young high street accounts preferred.
• Confident to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience collaborating with Sales Directors and international teams to develop trend-led ranges.
