Location: Greater London

The Event Conference Producer will play a key role in delivering high-quality, commercially successful conferences and events within the UK. Working closely with events, editorial, marketing, and commercial teams, the Producer will be responsible for researching, developing, and producing compelling event programmes that meet the needs of both audiences and sponsors.

This role requires a strong understanding of market trends, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to shape content that delivers genuine insight, engagement, and value. The successful candidate will also work closely with sponsors to develop relevant sponsored content and, over time, may chair conferences and host live events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed market research through telephone interviews, face-to-face meetings, focus groups, and desk-based research.
  • Create and produce commercially viable conference programmes that deliver high-quality knowledge transfer and networking opportunities.
  • Identify, secure, and manage high-calibre speakers, with a strong focus on improving diversity across event line-ups.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key industry practitioners, including establishing advisory or steering groups where appropriate.
  • Collaborate closely with sales teams to ensure programmes align with commercial objectives and sponsor requirements.
  • Work with marketing and editorial teams to develop content-led messaging that drives delegate attendance and engagement.
  • Analyse post-event feedback to refine content strategies, identify improvements, and contribute to the overall event strategy.
  • Manage speaker budgets effectively, identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies where possible.
  • Provide effective upward management of senior stakeholders and support junior team members when required.
  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with industry stakeholders at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, including HR and information security requirements.
Key Tasks
  • Organise and facilitate delegate focus groups to shape event content.
  • Define event themes based on market insight and audience feedback.
  • Source, brief, and manage speakers from initial contact through to event delivery.
  • Produce clear, detailed speaker briefs and ensure content remains aligned to agreed objectives.
  • Select and manage panel speakers, including preparation of balanced debate questions.
  • Liaise with production teams to ensure all audio-visual and technical requirements are met.
  • Review and edit speaker presentations prior to events.
  • Ensure speaker content meets CPD requirements where applicable.
  • Provide post-event feedback to speakers.
  • Work with editorial teams on post-event coverage, awards supplements, and guides.
  • Support the creation and accuracy of printed and online event programmes.
  • Ensure event websites are kept up to date with speaker and programme information.
  • Reconcile event budgets and speaker invoices accurately and promptly.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in conference or event production (minimum 2 years).
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Standard working hours are 9:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility required around event delivery.
  • Regular UK travel is required, with potential for international travel in the future. Applicants must have no travel restrictions.
