Concept Development Editor

We invite you to join CNN, a part of Warner Bros. Discovery, as a Concept Development Editor. In this role, you will develop revenue‑driving, cross‑platform sponsorship opportunities, building strong partnerships across CNN Editorial and CNN Sales to ensure compelling creative ideas and content align with the CNN brand across all platforms.

• Provide a strategic view on content solutions for sales and sponsor ships.
• Work with sales, editorial and the Insights team to develop new cross‑platform sponsorship opportunities and respond to sales briefs.
• Collaborate with the VP of Concept Development and editorial teams on editorial priorities to guide sponsorship pitches.
• Partner with editorial teams across linear and digital to coordinate sponsorship ideas with editorial content.
• Contribute to the performance of direct reports, including talent acquisition, performance management, career development, and cultivating a high‑performing culture.
• Visualise sponsorship concepts for sales, including creating and presenting PowerPoint and Keynote presentations.

• Experience in editorial and/or production roles.
• Ability to uncover compelling stories and craft new series.
• Knowledge of various content platforms (linear, digital, social, etc.).
• Working knowledge of audience data tools and insights.
• Strong communication, writing, and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to collaborate within cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Proactive, resourceful, and able to adapt quickly to change.

On June 9, 2025, Warner Bros. Discovery announced plans to separate into two publicly traded companies, Warner Bros. and Discovery Global, expected to complete in mid‑2026. Although you will be hired by Warner Bros. Discovery, your employment is likely to transition to Discovery Global once the separation is complete.

This role employs a hybrid model, combining remote and in‑office work, in accordance with our current company policy and subject to agreement with your Line Manager. The company reserves the right to modify this arrangement when essential to business needs and with reasonable notice.
