We have an immediate requirement for an overseer of production operations to administrate the smooth running of the production team for a transgenerational, multi‑cultural inner‑city faith group:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Production Manager to oversee all aspects of digital media production, including live broadcasts, video content, audio production, and event coverage. This person will lead a talented production team, coordinate workflows, and ensure the smooth execution of creative and technical elements for worship services, online broadcasts, and digital campaigns.

This role requires a confident leader who thrives under pressure, has a strategic mindset, and is passionate about using technology and media to support the mission of the church. The successful candidate will be a results‑driven leader who combines technical proficiency with people‑focused leadership and forward‑thinking project management.

This is a key leadership role, requiring a balance of operational efficiency, creative collaboration, and strategic insight to support and scale the church’s digital impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the production team, including videographers, editors, sound engineers, lighting techs, stage managers and volunteers.
  • Create a culture of excellence, teamwork, accountability, and spiritual growth within the production unit.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor staff and volunteers, investing in their technical and leadership development.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, debriefs, service reviews and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a performance‑oriented team culture grounded in collaboration, accountability, and spiritual integrity.
  • Implement talent development plans, including onboarding, training, and performance reviews.
  • Serve as a senior voice in cross‑departmental planning, ensuring production aligns with broader digital and ministry goals.
Creative Requirements
  • Visual Storytelling Mindset – Passionate about capturing testimonies, worship moments, and cultural expressions in ways that resonate emotionally both in‑house and online.
  • Confident in briefing and supervising elements like creative lighting designs, atmospheric transitions, stage layouts, motion graphics, and countdowns that set the tone of each service.
  • Willing to experiment with visual creativity (e.g., LED wall concepts, pre‑service creative visuals, poetic voiceovers, cinematic worship captures, themed service sets).
  • Skilled at designing moments of impact through lighting color palettes, transitions, visual build‑ups, and dramatic cues that enhance worship flow.
  • Ability to produce creative briefs that communicate tone, mood, visual direction, and style to media teams, videographers, and designers.
  • Eye for Aesthetic Consistency. Ensures all creative work, from livestream frames to lower thirds, on‑screen scriptures, and announcement reels matches the church’s visual identity and feels modern and culturally relevant.
Strategic Planning & Execution
  • Develop and execute a strategic production roadmap to support weekly services, special events, online broadcasts, and digital campaigns.
  • Design and optimise workflows to ensure consistent, high‑quality output across all digital platforms (You Tube, church app, social media, etc.).
  • Forecast production needs in alignment with ministry objectives, audience growth, and technological trends.
  • Ensure communication on production schedules to the required teams is managed closely and executed for events and services.
  • Manage annual production budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships.
Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance
