Senior Garment Technologist

A fantastic opportunity to join a well established supplier of soft separates and accessories to premium high street brands and online retailers as a Senior Garment Technologist. The ideal candidate will have multi product experience working within a high street supplier or brand.

As Senior Garment Technologist you will be responsible for all aspects of garment quality assurance and fit from proto to bulk. You will play a crucial role in the timely approval of product, managing your own accounts. You will be responsible for measuring all samples and to assess production samples and upload specs/photos into customer portals and any associated testing requirements.

You will liaise with the production team ensuring seal by dates are achieved.

• Measuring, documenting, and assessing samples from first fit to production.
• Checking construction and quality of garments.
• Complete customer workbooks.
• Liaise with factories to resolve any quality issues.
• Work with company critical path to ensure deadlines are met accordingly.
• Attend customer fit sessions when required.
• Carry out any product testing as required.

• Excellent technical knowledge of garment construction
• PC literate, proficient in all Microsoft packages.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Experience with customer portals such as PLM and Lighthouse
• Knowledge and experience of testing parameters and processes
• Able to thrive in a fast past environment.
• Minimum of 4-5 years experience as a Garment Technologist for a retailer or supplier. Relevant sector experience preferably soft separates/jersey/sunshop. Experience working on accessories would be beneficial.
