We are currently recruiting a Mechanical Construction Manager to join a major landmark development project in Central London.
This is an opportunity to play a key role on a large-scale, high-profile construction scheme, working as part of a collaborative project team delivering a complex civic and commercial development.
Project OverviewYou will be working on a £600 million development in the heart of London.
Designed by leading architects, the scheme will bring together key public institutions alongside high-quality commercial space within a modern, state-of-the-art environment.
Key elements of the development include:
- A new legal facility
- High end office accommodation
- Newly designed and improved public and civic space
The development is scheduled for completion in late 2026 and represents one of the most significant civic construction projects currently underway in London.
The RoleAs a Mechanical Construction Manager, you will play a key leadership role on site, helping to ensure mechanical works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Working closely with the Project Manager, you will support the coordination of site activities, manage labour resources, and help maintain a safe and productive environment for the site team.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting the Project Manager in supervising site personnel and coordinating labour resources
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and quality on site
- Promoting a strong safety-first culture across the project team
- Managing site discipline and ensuring safe working practices are followed
- Ensuring plant, equipment, and materials are safe, compliant, and effectively managed
- Maintaining accurate site records and liaising with payroll where required
- Supporting the training and development of apprentices and junior team members
- Monitoring progress and identifying any risks to programme delivery
- Assisting with system completion and preparation for client handover
We are seeking an experienced construction professional who thrives in a leadership role on complex building projects.
You will have:
- Strong mechanical qualifications
- Previous experience in a Mechanical Construction Manager or similar role
- A solid understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental systems
- Experience managing site teams and coordinating mechanical works
- Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills
