Quantity Surveyor – Social Housing Refurbishment (Streatham)

Up to £50,000 Benefits

I’m currently working with a leading social housing refurbishment contractor delivering a long-term reactive repairs contract in partnership with a major London borough. They’re looking to add an experienced Quantity Surveyor to their established commercial team based in Streatham.

This is a key role within a £32m annual contract, focused on delivering high-quality reactive maintenance works across the borough. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring monthly commercial targets are achieved — with the team typically managing around £2.5m of spend per month.

The Opportunity
  • Join a thriving and stable contract (12 years left to run)
  • Work alongside 10 other Quantity Surveyors in a well-established office with excellent team culture and leadership.
  • Clear progression route : those who perform well can quickly progress to Senior Quantity Surveyor level.
  • Strong focus on professional development – the company reinvests over 10% of turnover into learning and training, with opportunities for both internal and external development programmes.
  • Parking available on site, with a workplace that encourages accessibility and inclusion.
The Role
  • Managing commercial performance and profitability within a busy reactive maintenance environment.
  • Monitoring spend and ensuring targets are met or exceeded each month.
  • Preparing valuations, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Liaising closely with operational teams, the client, and supply chain partners.
  • Ensuring compliance and best practice across all financial processes.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Experienced Quantity Surveyor (or strong Assistant QS ready to step up) within social housing reactive repairs or a similar environment.
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and reliable — this team rewards hard work.
  • Capable of working independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
Salary

Up to £50,000

If you’re looking for a secure role within a forward-thinking contractor offering career growth, long-term stability, and genuine investment in your development — this is a great opportunity to consider.
