Our Client are hiring for a Quantity Surveyor to work within a team delivering a £30m cut and carve scheme in the City of London. This is a long-term opportunity on a technically challenging project, offering excellent exposure and development through to project completion in 2027.
A leading UK main contractor specialising in high-quality commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments across London and the South East. Known for delivering complex, technically challenging schemes, including major refurbishments, cut and carve projects, and new builds, the business has a strong reputation for collaboration, innovation, and repeat client relationships. With a growing project pipeline, it offers a stable platform and clear progression for ambitious construction professionals.
The RoleWorking as part of the site-based commercial team, you will support the commercial management of the project from pre-construction through delivery and final account.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the procurement and management of subcontract packages
- Cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Valuations, variations, and change control
- Subcontractor account administration
- Supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager
- Ensuring commercial procedures and controls are maintained.
- Experience working as an Intermediate / Project Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor
- Background in commercial, refurbishment, or cut and carve projects preferred
- Strong understanding of subcontract procurement and cost control
- Ambitious, detail-focused, and keen to develop within a leading contractor
- Good communication skills and confidence working in a site-based role.
