SSA are recruiting on behalf of a specialist contractor operating in the construction and engineering sector, delivering demolition, civil engineering, and environmental services across the UK. Our client works on complex infrastructure, commercial, industrial, and regeneration projects for major contractors and developers.
About the RoleOur client is a leading enabling and specialist contractor delivering complex projects across demolition, earthworks, remediation, infrastructure, and construction. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support major projects across London and the South East.

Key Responsibilities- Provide day–to–day H&S support across demolition, enabling, and construction projects
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and UK H&S legislation
- Deliver toolbox talks, site briefings, and safety training
- Support the development and review of RAMS and safe systems of work
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective and preventative actions
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies
- Promote a proactive, positive safety culture across all sites
- Proven experience as a Health & Safety Advisor within construction, demolition, civil engineering, or enabling works
- NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation and industry best practice
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- CSCS card (appropriate level)
- Full UK driving licence preferred
