Blaymires Recruitment is working with a specialist Civil Engineering contractor based in Portsmouth who is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing team.

The company operates as both a principal and specialist contractor, delivering a wide range of Civil Engineering and Groundworks projects across the commercial and residential sectors, with project values typically up to £3 million.

Due to continued growth, the company is looking to appoint a skilled Estimator. Applications are welcomed from both Estimators and Estimator / Quantity Surveyors with a strong Groundworks or Civil Engineering background.

• Producing and completing tenders, primarily within the residential sector
• Forecasting costs for plant, labour, and materials
• Preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates
• Attending pre-tender and client meetings
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members
• Working closely with the Estimating Director
• Assisting with the development of new and existing client relationships

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Groundworks Estimator within a contractor environment
• Strong background in pricing Groundworks or Civil Engineering projects
• Experience working on projects up to £5 million
• Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
  Educated to HNC level or equivalent
• Strong IT and analytical skills
