Job Description
ACT is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our team on one of our exciting super‑prime projects, in the heart of West London.
The Site Manager will establish and oversee all work associated with ACT’s construction sites, effectively managing the completion of all tasks in a safe, diligent, and responsible manner. The Site Manager will ensure the project is completed to the highest standard, on time, within the agreed cost, and to client satisfaction, in line with ACT’s company ethos.

- Proficient in Procore and other Site Management Tools (ASTA is desirable)
- Strong understanding of construction methods and safety regulations.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Maintain high quality control standards.
- Supervise and motivate the team, as well as delegate tasks effectively and manage team deliverables.
- Build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organisational skills.
- Develop and update project programmes and manage risks.
- Proficient in Procore and other project management tools.
- Ensure compliance in document control.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Manage and investigate incidents.
- Conduct safety inductions and Toolbox Talks.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly construction site.
- Ensure all visitors and operatives receive inductions and follow site rules.
- Delegate tasks to Foremen and operatives to manage program, quality, and cost control.
- Keep an accurate daily site and labour diary on Procore.
- Order materials as per program requirements and storage needs.
- Manage and coordinate ACT and supply chain works to avoid variations.
- Ensure timely completion and delivery of timesheets to HR.
- Review resources against the cost plan with the commercial team.
- Create and manage 6‑week lookahead programmes aligned with the project program.
- Report potential delays or impacts on the critical path.
- Sequence works and subcontractor tasks for a safe, quality‑driven process.
- Provide real‑time progress reports for direct and subcontractor works.
- Foster a “Can do” culture through all communications.
- Collaborate with management, operatives, supply chain, consultants, clients, and the community.
- Document and manage actions from meetings, CVIs, and RFIs using Procore.
- Compile and circulate weekly reports to the client’s consultant team.
- Organise and record building control/local authority visits and manage plan check reports.
- Review and approve design information and drawings on Procore.
- Conduct gridline, datum, and dimensional checks throughout the project.
- Perform regular quality control checks and pre‑line/pre‑finishes installation checks.
- Record and address quality/specification issues promptly.
- Participate in audits and inspections, implementing improvements as necessary.
- Implement and ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
- Oversee risk assessments, method statements, and H&S management.
- Conduct Toolbox Talks and ensure subcontractor competency.
- Minimise site traffic, noise, and dust; enforce protective clothing and equipment use.
- Ensure welfare facilities, first aid, and emergency procedures are in place.
- Identify and manage temporary works requirements.
- Report on‑site HR issues and conduct performance reviews.
- Understand contract scope and identify site variations or client‑requested changes.
- Efficiently allocate labour and procure materials within budget.
- Oversee document control operations in liaison with the Document Control Manager.
