Trainee Estimator

The Opportunity

Branta are working with a growing, professional business based in North London, who are looking to bring on a Trainee Estimator to support their expanding portfolio of small commercial projects.

This is a great opportunity for a detail-orientated, solutions-focused individual who wants to learn, develop, and grow within a supportive and structured environment. You'll gain exposure to multiple project types, clients, and estimating disciplines while building a strong foundation in commercial construction.

• Assisting with the preparation of estimates and cost breakdowns for small commercial projects
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and site information
• Supporting tender submissions and pricing exercises
• Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Attending site visits to new and existing projects
• Communicating professionally with end clients when required
• Maintaining accurate records and supporting commercial reporting

• A detail-orientated mindset with a strong focus on finding practical solutions
• Confident communication skills, including direct interaction with end clients
• Good Excel capabilities and general IT competence
• Willingness to travel to sites across London and surrounding areas
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• A proactive attitude and desire to learn multiple aspects of the business

Due to the nature of some projects, the successful candidate will be required to undergo high-level security clearance. Applicants must therefore have lived in the UK continuously for a minimum of 5 years.
