Associate Director

We’re growing our Rights of Light and Daylight/Sunlight team – and we’re looking for a senior specialist to lead it.

Schofield Surveyors is an employee‑owned, boutique Chartered Surveying practice based in London. We’re known for high‑quality advice, strong professional judgement, and long‑standing client relationships across commercial and residential property.

We’re now looking for an Associate Director‑level surveyor (or equivalent) to take the lead on our Rights of Light and Daylight/Sunlight work, helping to grow and shape this service within the practice.

You’ll be the go‑to adviser on Rights of Light and Daylight/Sunlight matters, working closely with developers, solicitors, architects and design teams on interesting, often complex projects.

You’ll run work autonomously, contribute commercially, and play a visible senior role within a close‑knit, highly professional team. While Rights of Light and Daylight/Sunlight will be your core disciplines, the role requires active involvement in adjacent areas such as Neighbourly Matters and/or Building Surveying as part of a broader senior surveying remit.

• Strong experience in Rights of Light and Daylight/Sunlight at senior level
• Confidence working directly with clients and legal teams
• A solid understanding of the UK development landscape and relevant legal principles
• A pragmatic, commercially aware approach
• MRICS preferred, but not essential
