Senior Quantity Surveyor; Freelance

Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor (Freelance) (Contract)
A Tier 1 main contractor requires a Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a £150m flagship development in the heart of London. This is a high-profile, complex project and a rare opportunity to take commercial ownership of some of the most critical packages on site.

You will be responsible for the Structural Frame, Façade and Preliminaries, working closely with the wider commercial and delivery teams to drive value, manage risk and maintain robust cost control from procurement through to final account. The role requires a commercially astute professional with proven experience on major projects, comfortable operating in a fast-paced, senior environment and confident dealing with subcontractors and internal stakeholders alike.

To be considered, you must have significant major project experience, ideally £100m+ schemes, and a strong background working for a main contractor. Solid knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts is highly beneficial, along with the ability to hit the ground running on complex work packages.

A long-term freelance contract (Outside IR35) with a good day rate on offer and the chance to be part of a landmark London scheme from an early stage through delivery.
