Salary: £90k-£95k basic DOE plus competitive package inc car allowance, pension etc.
Company & Project: A privately owned main contractor operating in the Residential, Commercial, Mixed-Use and Regeneration sectors, is currently recruiting for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead flagship Residential and Mixed-Use, Design & Build, New Build project in excess of £70m+.
Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take responsibility for leading all commercial management functions on a flagship project, overseeing a small team of Senior Quantity Surveyors and Quantity Surveyors. Key duties include: producing CVRs, managing team workload to include applications for payment from sub-contractors, variations and preparation of final accounts. You will be reporting at a senior level to directors.
Experience working on JCT Design & Build Contracts is essential for this position.
Desirable
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years+ experience as a Quantity Surveyor working for Main Contractors.
- Excellent knowledge of JCT Design & Build Contracts.
- Very good negotiation skills and previous experience procuring subcontractors.
- Strong track interpersonal and communication.
- Previous Roles:
Senior Quantity Surveyor OR Project QS OR Quantity Surveyor.
Qualifications & Skills: Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or comparable.
