An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with an Irish main contractor or subcontractor background to work on high-profile new build residential projects, commercial schemes, and commercial redevelopments across London and the South East.
Role Overview :
The successful candidate will take ownership of commercial and cost management on complex projects, from preconstruction through to completion. This is ideal for a Quantity Surveyor with strong preconstruction experience who has successfully led multi-disciplinary teams and delivered high-specification projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor junior QS and commercial team members.
* Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts.
* Oversee procurement and contract administration.
* Act as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders on commercial matters.
* Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.
* Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimisation.
* Collaborate with design, construction, and procurement teams to ensure seamless delivery.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience as a Quantity Surveyor with an Irish main contractor or subcontractor.
* Strong preconstruction experience, including cost planning, tendering, and commercial management.
* Experience leading or mentoring multi-disciplinary teams.
* Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying (RICS preferred).
* Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard, including new build residential and commercial / commercial redevelopment projects.
