Assistant Site Manager

My Client is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join the delivery team on the prestigious £120 million retained façade cut-and-carve commercial office project 95,000 sq ft in the heart of Farringdon. The scheme comprises an 11-storey commercial office building, combining complex structural alterations with a high-quality new build and refurbishment.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a technically challenging, high‑profile London project with a well‑established contractor.

• Support the Site Manager in the day‑to‑day management of site operations
• Supervise subcontractors and trades, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to specification
• Assist with short‑term planning, lookaheads and coordination of works
• Monitor quality control and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and method statements
• Ensure health & safety standards are maintained in line with company procedures and statutory requirements
• Assist with logistics planning on a constrained central London site
• Contribute to progress reporting and site documentation
• Coordinate inspections and snagging works

• Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager (or Site Supervisor looking to step up)
• Background in cut and carve, refurbishment or retained façade projects
• Knowledge of complex structural alterations and sequencing
• Experience working on large‑scale projects (£50m+ desirable)

• SMSTS or SSSTS
• CSCS Card
• First Aid at Work
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively within a wider site team
• Proactive and detail men‑focused approach
