Mechanical Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a project team delivering a new build residential development in London on a contract basis for approximately six months. This role is ideal for a contractor with strong site delivery experience who can take ownership of the mechanical services package through a key stage of the project.

You will be responsible for managing the mechanical works from coordination and procurement through installation, commissioning, and handover, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage the mechanical services package on a residential new build project

* Oversee design coordination, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover

* Work closely with the Construction Manager, Design Team, Consultants, and Subcontractors

* Monitor programme, cost control, and quality assurance

* Ensure compliance with specifications, building regulations, and health & safety requirements

* Chair subcontractor and progress meetings, providing regular updates to senior management

* Manage subcontractor performance and resolve technical and coordination issues on site

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager on new build residential projects

* Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services (HVAC, domestic water, drainage, plant)

* Experience working on London construction projects

* Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills

* Ability to manage deadlines and drive site delivery

Qualifications (Essential)

* First Aid

* SMSTS

* CSCS (Management level)
