An established and growing infrastructure contractor is seeking a Planning & Pre-Construction Manager to support projects from tender stage through to live delivery.

This role sits at the heart of pre-construction and engineering planning, working closely with design, commercial and operational teams to develop robust, logic-linked programmes that are realistic, buildable and delivery focused.

The Role

You will take ownership of construction programmes across pre-construction and live projects, ensuring programme logic, sequencing and methodology are aligned with design development and delivery strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

* Developing tender and pre-construction programmes

* Producing fully logic-linked construction programmes

* Managing programme updates, progress reporting and validation

* Working closely with engineering and design teams to develop buildable sequences

* Assessing and managing the programme impact of design development and change

* Carrying out critical path analysis and programme reviews

* Supporting project teams with mitigation, recovery and change events

* Ensuring clear handover of programmes from pre-construction to delivery

* Acting as the central point of expertise for programme logic and sequencing

About You

You will be an experienced planner with a strong background in infrastructure or civil engineering projects, comfortable operating across both pre-construction and live delivery environments.

You will ideally have:

* Proven experience in a Planning or Planning Management role

* Strong pre-construction and tender planning experience

* Excellent understanding of construction methodology and sequencing

* Advanced Primavera P6 skills (essential)

* Experience updating, validating and managing live programmes

* Confidence working with design, commercial and delivery teams

* A practical, delivery-focused mindset
