Our client is a well-established groundworks and civil engineering contractor delivering demolition, groundworks, drainage, substructure and hard landscaping projects across the M25. Working with Tier 2 Main Contractors and leading self-delivery developers, they have built a strong reputation for quality delivery, technical capability and a collaborative approach. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Groundworks Estimator to lead their Estimating Department from their Ealing office.

This is a senior position responsible for managing the full estimating function within the business. You will oversee the tender process from initial enquiry through to final submission and handover, reviewing drawings, specifications and contract documents to assess scope, risks and opportunities.

The role includes preparing accurate take-offs, detailed cost estimates, analytical pricing and complete tender submissions, while coordinating with internal teams, clients and supply chain partners. You will provide commercial insight, maintain cost databases, and support strategic decision making for the company owners. As part of the role, you will also mentor junior estimators and help develop a high-performing pre-construction team.

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in groundworks and civil engineering estimating
• Strong background across residential, commercial, industrial, student accommodation and healthcare projects
• Excellent analytical and commercial skills with the ability to interpret drawings and tender documentation
• Confident leading the estimating process and supporting team development
• Strong communication, organisational and report-writing ability

£90,000 - £120,000 + annual performance bonus
