A leading infrastructure and utilities contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering essential power and civil engineering projects across the region.
RoleWe’re looking for a proactive Site Manager with a strong track record of delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You’ll be responsible for managing all on‑site activities, ensuring compliance, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety throughout each phase of delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and coordinate works alongside the Construction Project Manager.
- Implement CDM requirements and manage health, safety, environmental and quality standards on site.
- Oversee both self‑delivered and subcontracted work packages.
- Conduct site inductions, inspections, and toolbox talks.
- Prepare and issue RAMS and permits.
- Adapt ITPs to site‑specific permanent works and collate evidence for closure.
- Manage material and labour requisitions, including plant hire and off‑hire.
- Maintain accurate site records, diaries, and cost/forecast reports.
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within the civil engineering, utilities or power sectors.
- Experience working with a DNO and knowledge of substation projects and NEC3 contracts.
- Relevant qualifications including SSSTS/SMSTS, Streetworks (NRSWA) Supervisor, and IOSH (or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of CDM regulations, RAMS production and cost management.
- Experience managing trenching, deep excavations, RC works, duct installation, cable pulling and switch gear installation.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
