Construction Sub Agent, Civil Engineering

Agent / Sub Agent - Groundworks, Civils & Infrastructure

Salary: £65,000 - £72,000 + package

PSR Solutions is working with a well-established civil engineering contractor, specialising in groundworks, civils, and infrastructure works across major residential and infrastructure projects. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, our client is seeking an experienced Agent to support the successful delivery of site operations.

The Role

As Sub Agent, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of groundworks and civil engineering works, supporting the Agent and Contracts Manager to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification.

This is a site-based role offering long-term stability and the opportunity to work on technically challenging civils schemes.

Key Responsibilities

Support the team in managing site activities for groundworks and infrastructure projects

Coordinate labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors

Ensure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and construction programmes

Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and environmental compliance

Assist with short-term planning, lookahead programmes, and method statements

Liaise with engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers

Monitor quality, productivity, and progress of works on site

Assist in managing site documentation, permits, and site records

Support the resolution of technical and construction issues

Candidate Requirements

Proven experience as a Sub Agent or Senior Site Engineer within groundworks, civil engineering, or infrastructure

Strong technical knowledge of drainage, roads, earthworks, and associated civils packages

SMSTS and CSCS required

Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills

Full UK driving licence
