Job Summary

Part-time 20 hours per week (split shift) with an opportunity to work full-time during holidays. Required as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

The Extended Day Worker will work across the extended day provision at Prior Weston, covering breakfast, morning and after school clubs, and Night Owls (after school childcare). The post holder will be expected to work flexibly across this wrap‑around care and work a split shift.

Under the direction of the Extended Day Coordinator, plan, prepare and deliver a suitable programme of imaginative and innovative activities for the extended day provision, suitable for children aged 4-11 years, which meets the children’s developmental needs and stimulates their learning.

Work in a flexible manner to provide extended day services as directed by the Extended Day Coordinator during Breakfast Club, running morning and after school clubs and in Night Owls, including:

  • support learning (e.g., key stage, homework, musical instrument)
  • celebrate the culturally diverse community of the school
  • provide opportunities for pupils to take part in physical activities and sport
  • promote the arts, drama and music
