Role PurposeLead the development and execution of business strategies for Continental European (CE) consultant relations and UK Field Consultant (FC) sales. Collaborate with Asset Management Institutional Sales teams across Europe and the UK to drive consultant engagement, enhance ratings, and unlock monetisation opportunities.
Key ResponsibilitiesContinental Europe Consultant Relations
- Develop and execute CE business strategy in partnership with regional business heads.
- Drive engagement with Global, Local, and Alternative Specialist consultant firms.
- Support business development priorities and new business wins across DACH, Netherlands, Nordics, France, and Italy.
- Maintain and expand consultant contacts and knowledge.
- Deliver detailed account planning for each consultant firm.
- Lead the UK FC business strategy with Consultant Relations and AMEU Sales.
- Progress dialogue with Field Consultants and Manager Research to drive monetisation.
- Support consultant-led RFPs and sales processes.
- Ensure investment teams are “consultant ready” and articulate product capabilities.
- Map and maintain consultant-advised client lists for sales triangulation.
- Build strong relationships with research consultants and key stakeholders.
- Act as the “go-to” leader for consultant relations, supporting business development teams.
- Foster collaboration and represent HSBC Asset Management professionally.
- Ensure compliance with internal/external regulations and HSBC standards.
- Maintain robust documentation and CRM records for all client meetings.
- Extensive experience with CE consultant firms (Global, Local, Alternative Specialists).
- Deep technical expertise across asset classes, especially alternatives and credit.
- Proven background in asset management, ideally in consultant relations or institutional sales.
- Proficiency in a European language (French or German preferred).
- FCA Authorised
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Experience in a global asset manager preferred.
- Ability to act as a Product Specialist, providing expert guidance internally and externally.
