About the role
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager who will define a market‑leading experience for our customers to drive higher conversion and repeat shopping behaviours by bringing a step‑change to the shopping journey on and the Tesco Grocery Shopping App. As a subject‑matter expert in customer experience you will work with customers, business stakeholders, technology, design experts and several other product managers across the network to deliver exciting and critical business and customer outcomes.

Responsibility- Evolve and drive the product vision, strategy and the long‑term roadmap.
- Proactively partner with peers and senior stakeholders to set the future direction of inspiration‑led online shopping as part of the wider business strategy across all Tesco markets.
- Understand key user personas and customer segments for the product and their pain points.
- Accountable for the performance/adoption of the product and responsible for the Outcomes and Key Results (OKRs).
- Prioritise work and decisively resolve trade‑offs with peers and senior leaders.
- Effectively document and explain new requirements to the engineering team using user stories with acceptance criteria and help the team break down complex work into smaller, deliverable chunks that can be delivered faster.
- Steer sprint/release planning sessions by working with engineering counterparts to plan sprints/releases that deliver maximum business value with minimal effort.
- Drive the acceptance and adoption of ideas and improvements with product teams and engineering stakeholders.
- Provide direction to cross‑functional teams on short‑term tasks and near‑term priorities.
- Strong collaboration with several teams and stakeholders, including operations, 3rd‑party partners, UX, data science and engineering.
- Strong judgement in assessing opportunities, insights and data to establish emerging customer needs.
- Leadership and direction setting for cross‑functional teams with decision‑making on near‑term priorities versus long‑term strategic path.
- Influencing teams and stakeholders to drive change and product‑driven value creation.
- Experience in product management of front‑end products (e.g. websites and mobile apps).
- Experience and understanding of agile techniques to deliver market‑leading products.
- Experience managing products across different stages of the product lifecycle.
- Experience in online shopping and e‑commerce is preferred but not mandatory.
- Annual bonus scheme of up to 20% of base salary.
