EG’s Geoeconomics team is seeking an intern to support our work, focusing on the intersection of financial markets, global macroeconomics, and politics. This internship will provide opportunities to learn about and analyse political risk, and how it impacts the global economy and financial markets. Applicants should be students at an academic institution.
Responsibilities include:
- The intern will have the opportunity to be involved in the production of and analysis for Eurasia group's flagship daily publication, The Daily Brief
- Researching, writing, and presenting analysis on geopolitical developments and how they intersect with the global economy and financial markets
- Analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to deliver client-focused insights and conclusion
Qualifications :
- Must be enrolled in an academic institution, studying an Economics-related degree
- Strong analytical skills and ability to provide clear and succinct written assessments
- Ability to produce multiple pieces of research and analysis under tight deadlines
- Intellectual curiosity, creativity, and a team-oriented mindset
- Experience with Excel and creating charts to visualize data
- Some form of economics or trade background, and/or familiarity with global financial markets is a plus
- Programming skills is a plus (particularly R or Python)
- Must be able to work from the London office 3 days per week
- Must be available during the full duration of the program
- Must be a current student
