CPO and Co-founder

Company Description

A legal tech startup in stealth, building an end-to-end regulatory compliance product for law firms and in-house teams looking for a co-founder/CPO. This is an equity-only role until we raise a pre‑seed round (planned before the summer of 2026). This role will be equal in equity to the CEO and the CTO.

This is a unique opportunity to join a team with strong investor interest in building a new legal/compliance product. Therefore, we have a strong preference for individuals with a legal tech and/or compliance background.

We are seeking a Co‑founder and Chief Product Officer (CPO). The CPO will be responsible for shaping the product vision, strategy, and roadmap while working collaboratively with cross‑functional teams. Key responsibilities include leading product development, conducting research, and working with development partners. Post raise, the role will be key in mapping and hiring engineering and design teams, and enhancing the user experience to meet the market demand.

The CPO will play a vital role in building the product from the ground up while contributing to the overall strategic direction of the company.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to inform product decisions and strategy
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, stakeholders, and investors
• Experience in sales and marketing to launch, position, and grow product adoption in competitive markets preferred
• Proficiency in research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and market opportunities
• Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced startup environment
• Experience in product development and leadership in the tech or legal tech industry is preferred.
• Understanding of legal industry workflows and challenges is a strong advantage.
