Legal Directories Coordinator

London (Hybrid)

About the Role

A leading global law firm is seeking a Legal Directories Coordinator to join its international marketing and business development team. The firm advises clients on complex, high stakes matters worldwide and is known for its strategic, precise, and innovative approach to legal problem solving.

Reporting to the Directories Manager, this role is responsible for the disciplined coordination and execution of the firm's legal directory submissions. You will play a key part in managing a high volume of complex submissions across Chambers, Legal 500, IFLR, and other major publications ensuring accuracy, consistency, and on time delivery while working closely with attorneys and senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and support the preparation, submission, and tracking of legal directory submissions for global publications (e.g., Chambers, Legal 500, IFLR).
  • Manage end-to-end submission logistics, including data collection, deadline management, referee tracking, and follow up communications.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for directory publishers regarding logistics, ranking queries, process updates, and interview coordination.
  • Assist with drafting and coordinating directory profiles.
  • Support internal and external communications surrounding the launch of rankings and guide publications.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and the marketing & business development team to ensure submissions are accurate, consistent, and aligned with firm standards.
  • Manage research interview scheduling and preparation materials in partnership with attorneys and practice leaders.
  • Contribute to workflow improvements and efficiencies across the directories cycle.
  • Use technology and AI-enabled tools to support drafting, data organisation, and submission efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills; able to communicate succinctly and persuasively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, etc.
Experience
  • University degree, preferably in Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in legal marketing, communications, or directories related work (preferred).
  • Chambers submission experience is a plus.
