This position provides both tactical and strategic support in executing a wide range of business development initiatives. Responsibilities include end-to-end event management; preparation of pitch materials, presentations, and proposals; research; content creation and administration; marketing communications; social media; and practice group coordination. The Business Development & Events Coordinator leads the London BD events program, taking initiative, contributing ideas, and collaborating across departments and offices.

The role carries primary responsibility for planning and executing events, as well as managing various initiatives, projects, and other business development efforts from strategic identification through tactical implementation.

Essential Duties
** Events and Sponsor ships
*** Lead, develop, and manage the London BD event program, including strategy, subject‑matter planning, execution, and post‑event follow‑up.
* Lead the full range of business development events and sponsor ships, collaborating with firm stakeholders on venue research and visits, facilities coordination, room and A/V setup, giveaways, catering, photography, invitation lists, invitation design, materials, reminders, and follow‑up communications.
* Coordinate logistics for internal and client‑facing events, including venue sourcing, invitations, materials preparation, and guest communications.
* Manage all day‑of‑event operations—registration, nametags, materials, site management, speakers, and presentations—to ensure a polished guest experience.
* Meet with and manage third‑party service providers (e.g., catering, facilities, vendors).
* Work with the CRM team to ensure event information, attendance, and contact updates are accurately captured in the CRM system.
* Update the CRM system to track post‑event activity and evaluate return on investment.
* Work with the BDM and lawyers on sponsorship opportunities, including negotiating benefits packages, processing payments, filling tables, and activating sponsorship benefits.
* Coordinate with the website team to post and update event information.
* Lead planning for events in new office environments, including layout optimisation, branding, and client experience considerations.
* Track ROI, engagement, and performance metrics using CRM and analytics tools.
* Support additional marketing and business development initiatives as required.##
** Pitch Books, Presentations, and Proposals
*** Assist in the creation, tailoring, and production of pitch materials.
* Maintain and update lawyer bios, practice descriptions, and experience records.
* Develop visually engaging and reusable pitch decks.
* Track and analyse proposal success rates and engagement metrics.##
** Research and Intelligence
*** Conduct company, client, industry, and competitor research.
* Liaise with the Competitive Intelligence Group.
* Present data insights to attorneys and BD teams.##
** Content Administration
*** Update practice group overviews, deal charts, and client lists.
* Draft and manage submissions for directories and awards.
