Underwriting Data Insights Analyst

Location: Greater London

* Analyse data to identify business trends and translate insights into business value.
* Projects including unpicking legacy data cleansing and garnering insight particularly segmenting our book to ensure we select the optimal business mix. Work with cross functional teams on varying business initiatives.
* Use data visualization to communicate the business story, and recommend solutions.
* Support business intelligence with Proofs of Concept by leveraging knowledge of legacy systems and understanding what frontend Underwriters need to know.
* Work with multi-level dimensional data towards the ultimate design required to meet business requests.
* Complete reconciliations and validation tests to ensure results are accurate and understand potential issues with current processed.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
* Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Economics, Business, or related.
* Solid analytics or related experience working in the insurance industry
* Experience using data visualisation tools.
* Knowledge of descriptive and diagnostic analytic processes, including multi-variate analysis, data quality, data reporting, and data retrieval.
* Ability to effectively communicate and present technical data and trends impacting the business.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with business partners and develop productive professional relationships.
* Awareness and adherence to established data management practices and standards.
* Solution focused attitude is a must.##
