The Facilities Operative Role will join the busy Facilities Team at London, Threadneedle Street, with a variety of tasks to be fulfilled each day within the Security and Front of House.

This role is within the Property Services Team on site. The team are responsible for the safe opening and occupation of the site, with duties ranging from cleaning and ensuring the site is presented to a high standard, to engineering and keeping all the mechanical and electrical assets running.

The role of Facilities Operative is a vital link between all activities, to ensure all services to our colleagues on site run smoothly and on time.

This is an onsite role at 1 Threadneedle Street, London. You ll be working 4 days on, 4 days off in a rotating shift pattern. This involves working 4 x day shifts (7am to 7pm) followed by 4 days off and then 4 x night shifts (7pm to 7am) followed by 4 days off, on repeat.

What you’ll be doing

In between security, mail and reception duties are daily, weekly and monthly site-wide tasks to be completed, including stationery ordering, updating the first aid and prompting and booking new courses. Additionally, you’ll provide support during events with reception and security duties, mail and delivery support and answering general queries. Reception duties include break cover, absence cover and use of the Lenel access control system.

You will work closely with both the Host team and Tech Generalist when a second person is required for a task, for example footing a step ladder, changing a meeting room layout or other general porterage duties.

About you

As a minimum requirement, you will:

Be adaptable to a new challenge in a fast-paced team with pressing deadlines

Have a SIA licence and previous security work within Office environments

Have good organisational skills, as most days you will have a number of tasks to complete to deadlines, e.g. the daily Royal Mail pick up

Have competent use of Microsoft programmes - Outlook, Word and Excel in particular

Be able to work independently but then also adapt and work and contribute well to the wider team
