Senior Bid Writer

What matters to us

• Qualified to degree level or similar
• Experience in bid writing within civil engineering, construction, infrastructure or equivalent sectors involving complex technical bids and formal procurement processes
• Excellent written English, and proofreading skills with high attention to detail
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Office 365 proficiency, particularly MS Word, PowerPoint, Adobe
• Proven ability to absorb, analyse and structure complex information, identify and articulate win strategies

As part of the Infrastructure Pre-Construction Team, you will develop and write compelling and strategic proposals and tenders. You will be involved in:

• Developing, writing and editing technical responses and evidence for complex projects
• Conducting answer planning and writing workshops as required, managing inputs from a wide range of sources and stakeholders
• Interviewing technical, operational, and business function experts to transform drafts into clear and persuasive customer-focused responses
• Ensuring completion of all responses to internal / external deadlines
• Supporting win strategy workshops
• Supporting the enhancement of company bid libraries and bid content
• Sharing knowledge and best practice across the business, contributing to lessons learned and continuous improvement
