My client is seeking a dynamic Commercial Director to drive the strategic and commercial success of a flagship energy event. This pivotal role focuses on maximising revenue through delegate and sponsorship sales, aiming for significant growth in the first year. Ideal for a leader skilled in developing long-term client relationships and identifying lucrative business opportunities.
About the Role- Lead and expand sponsorship and delegate revenue streams, ensuring achievement of ambitious annual targets.
- Develop and implement a robust commercial strategy aligned with the event's overall objectives.
- Engage in high-level negotiations and manage key accounts to maximise client investment and retention.
- Provide leadership and direction to the commercial team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the global energy market to enhance event positioning and innovation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field;
Master’s degree or MBA preferred. - Over 10 years of senior leadership experience in commercial, sales, or business development within large-scale exhibitions or B2B events.
- Proven track record of driving multimillion-dollar revenue growth.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing high-performing teams across international markets.
- Exceptional negotiation and strategic thinking abilities, with a solid background in developing long-term commercial strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with senior executives globally.
- Over 10 years of senior leadership experience in commercial, sales, or business development within large-scale exhibitions or B2B events
