Company Description

Job Description

Ready to make your mark in the property industry and become a valuer? Join our Government Valuation & Advisory Services team based in either of our Melbourne CBD, or Sydney CBD offices and take the next big step toward a career that matters.

This is a rare opportunity for a recent property graduate, or a third‑year student to join our team as an Assistant Valuer to learn from the best. You’ll work alongside our national team of industry‑leading valuers who will mentor you every step of the way.

As part of our Government & Legal Valuation and Advisory division, you’ll gain hands‑on experience with complex, high‑profile projects, a variety of asset classes and significant property portfolios. Your work will help shape decisions on some of the city’s most iconic assets.

You will undertake a wide variety of tasks including collection and analysis of sales and leasing evidence, completion of cash flow models and compilation of reports.

This role is offered on part‑time equivalent basis, with the opportunity to become a full time role in the future.

Qualifications

To be successful you will need to demonstrate:

  • Currently studying or recently completed tertiary studies in an Australian Property Institute (API) accredited degree with the aim of working towards becoming a Certified Practising Valuer.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels of the business.
  • Intermediate MS Excel and Word skills.
  • Proactive and self‑motivated – keen to add value to the team.

Your strong numerical analysis and problem‑solving capabilities, coupled with exceptional communication, organisational and time management skills will ensure success in this rewarding role.
