SME, P2P Transformation Procurement SME
(contractor)
Role purposeProvide director-level subject matter expertise to design and ope rationalise catalogue content, taxonomy, and guided buying capabilities within SAP Ariba, enabling scalable deployment across markets. The role is accountable for ensuring the buying experience is intuitive, compliant, and measurable - driving adoption of predefined content and increasing spend through preferred suppliers and contracts while improving end-to-end traceability.
Scope and responsibilities1) Content strategy, catalogue structure and governance
- Define and maintain the catalogue content strategy for the market rollout (starting Singapore), aligned to global design principles.
- Establish and enforce content standards (naming conventions, mandatory attributes, templates, quality thresholds, reject criteria).
- Define and run content governance: decision rights, change control, approvals, and escalation pathways (global vs local deltas).
- Align content standards with supplier enablement, contract ops, and data governance to ensure downstream traceability and reporting.
- Own the market-specific implementation of taxonomy (category structure, attribute strategy, mapping rules) with a clear delta from global standards.
- Ensure taxonomy supports: searchability, guided buying routing, reporting, compliance controls, and contract/invoice traceability.
- Provide SME input into master data alignment requirements (e.g., supplier record alignment between S2C and R2P where relevant).
- Define and document the guided buying journeys for priority categories/suppliers (tiles, decision trees, forms, routing rules).
- Translate policy and buying controls into practical guided buying pathways that reduce free-text purchasing and exceptions.
- Ensure guided buying experiences are consistent with approval flows, thresholds, and local compliance requirements.
- Define the measurement approach for key adoption outcomes, especially usage of predefined guided buying content
- Recommend content performance KPIs
- Provide enablement inputs for catalogue managers and operational teams (playbooks, checklists, “definition of good”, training content outlines).
- Coach stakeholder groups on taxonomy, content standards, and how to sustain content quality in BAU.
- 14+ years in procurement / P2P transformation
- Deep hands‑on experience with SAP Ariba (Guided Buying, catalogues, punchouts, supplier enablement concepts, and buying controls).
- Proven delivery experience in multi‑market rollouts, ideally in regulated environments (banking/financial services preferred).
- Strong capability in taxonomy design, data quality standards, and operating model / governance.
- Track record of translating strategy into practical artefacts: templates, standards, decision logs, testing rubrics, KPI definitions.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving stakeholder alignment across business, procurement, finance, tax, and technology.
