About the role

Senior Bid Manager – Believ, formerly known as Liberty Charge, is committed to delivering sustainable electric vehicle charging to everyone. As a Charge Point Operator (CPO) we are building the UK’s most reliable EV charging network that costs no extra and leaves no one behind. The role reports to the Head of Bidding and involves leading strategic key bids, supporting new Local Authority and Business-to-Business (B2B) tender opportunities, and managing the bidding infrastructure including our bid library on SharePoint and SharePoint sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ongoing development of the bid library on SharePoint, including writing new case studies, proof statements and refining content based on bid feedback.
  • Proactively working with experts from internal stakeholders and partners to ensure bid information is current and meets customer requirements.
  • Supporting the management of bid portals, identifying new tender opportunities and updating our internal Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (Hub Spot).
  • Drafting high‑quality tender and proposal responses for Local Authority and B2B opportunities.
  • Proofreading and editing the wider team’s bids, offering critical analysis.
  • Initial pre‑screening technical reviews of new opportunities and sector research to enhance bids, including client, competitor and wider EV market research.
  • Undertaking Electric Vehicle Charge Point (EVCP) site discovery using preliminary site analysis and high‑level sanity‑check to locate and assess suitable ChargePoint locations.
  • Liaising with external contacts within LAs and businesses to support the bid process, attending webinars and engagement sessions, communicating with LAs regarding tenders/framework opportunities, and supporting Regional Sales Managers where requested.
  • Assisting the wider internal team on tendering performance updates and insights from the evolving procurement landscape.
  • Ensuring detailed bid feedback exercises are undertaken on won and lost bids.
Key Success Factors
  • Effective bid library that assists in producing customer response documents.
  • High quality bid production that results in scoring.
  • Quick identification of suitable opportunities.
  • Development of case studies, tender materials and answers that are up to date and allow rapid response to new tenders.
  • Insightful bid feedback to the tenders team and wider business.
  • Contributing to uphold a 20% minimum win rate.
About you
  • Experience in or knowledge of the emerging EV charging sector would be beneficial.
  • Experience tendering for public sector Local Authority infrastructure or mobility related procurements is desirable, such as EV chargers, parking related assets or on‑street infrastructure, car clubs, cycle hire/e‑scooters.
  • Experience in transport planning, town planning or similar would also be beneficial.
  • Strong communication, written and oral skills, with experience of proof‑reading.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, always maintaining an excellent standard of work.
  • Ownership, dynamic drive and ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commerciality and an interest in developing strong business acumen.
  • Good team player who thrives under pressure and can flexibly work to deadlines.

Location

The business is located in Southwark. The position is full‑time, hybrid with three days (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) based in the office.
