Salary:
Up to £75,000 + benefits

An established UK utilities infrastructure provider is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to support major projects across power, gas, water, and communications.

This is a senior procurement role offering the opportunity to work on complex, high-value infrastructure programmes within a growing and forward-thinking organisation, with flexibility through a hybrid working model and an upcoming move to a London office.

You will take ownership of strategic procurement activities, supplier relationships, and commercial performance, ensuring best practice and value delivery across multiple projects.

• Managing complex procurement packages and strategic purchasing activity
• Developing and implementing procurement strategies and annual agreements
• Negotiating with suppliers and managing commercial relationships
• Monitoring and improving supplier performance
• Resolving contractual and commercial issues
• Working closely with project teams and senior management
• Supporting and mentoring junior procurement team members
• Ensuring compliance with internal governance and industry regulations

• Proven experience in a Senior Buyer or equivalent procurement role
• Background in utilities, infrastructure, civil engineering, or construction
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills
• Experience managing complex supply chains and multiple stakeholders
• Comfortable working in regulated environments
