The company is now seeking an experienced Commercial Innovation Manager to lead NPD and EPD initiatives from initial concept through to post-launch review, working directly with customers to develop commercially viable product solutions. This is a highly-connected role, requiring you to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders whilst maintaining a pragmatic, delivery-focused approach in a fast-paced environment.
Initially a 6 month contract role, we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running and is available quickly.

Key Responsibilities
- Leading new and existing innovation/product development projects from concept to post-launch review, ensuring timely delivery against commercial objectives
- Supporting range development, product optimisation and innovation projects whilst maintaining compliance with food safety, legal and sustainability standards
- Working directly with customers to understand requirements and develop commercially viable product solutions that meet their needs
- Owning product costings and P&L accountability, delivering against agreed commercial targets for volume and value
- Acting as the key connector between Commercial, Marketing, Manufacturing and R&D teams, managing multiple stakeholder priorities effectively
- Conducting post-launch reviews to capture learnings and inform future product development activity
- Travelling to customer sites and production facilities to gather insights and build collaborative relationships
Skills & Experience Checklist
- Proven FMCG background with experience in Product Development or Commercial Innovation/NPD
- Ideally a Food Science/Food Tech qualification, and/or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong customer-facing experience with the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
- Commercial awareness with solid understanding of costings, P&L principles and financial management
- Pragmatic, collaborative and delivery-focused mindset with ability to operate effectively in ambiguous or sensitive environments
- Excellent cross-functional communication and project management skills
