The Role

The Business Development Manager plays a pivotal role in driving Les Mills’ growth by building strategic partnerships with fitness clubs and operators. This position is responsible for providing expert advice, support, and coaching to prospective club customers, ensuring the successful implementation and long-term success of Les Mills partnership solutions.

The Business Development Manager will proactively manage a robust pipeline of potential clients, identify new business opportunities, and deliver tailored solutions that align with customer needs and Les Mills’ brand values. Through consultative selling, relationship building, and strategic planning, this role cultivates high-quality partnerships that accelerate market penetration and deliver measurable revenue growth.

What You’ll Do
  • New Business Growth
    • Consistently develop a qualified pipeline of sales opportunities that meets or exceeds business objectives.
    • Achieve agreed conversion rates for new business opportunities aligned with LMUK strategic priorities.
    • Deliver measurable net revenue growth through new partnerships.
  • Business Development and Strategic Planning
    • Contribute to the creation and execution of sector-specific strategies in collaboration with LMUK Customer Experience Director (CXD).
    • Implement strategic plans within agreed deadlines, budgets, and KPIs.
    • Demonstrate active involvement in shaping the overall strategic direction of LMUK.
    • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and output.
    • Represent Les Mills at industry and internal events to generate new business opportunities.
  • Partnership Delivery and Customer Success
    • Ensure seamless implementation and launch of Les Mills partnerships in collaboration with Customer Success teams.
    • Maintain high standards of aftercare and partnership delivery, resulting in strong customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Revenue Growth Through Upselling
    • Identify and convert upselling opportunities for additional Les Mills products and services (e.g., digital solutions, equipment).
    • Communicate all upsell prospects to the Customer Experience Director and collaborate on execution.
  • Accurate Record and Database Management
    • Maintain accurate and timely updates in Salesforce for all customer interactions and documentation.
    • Ensure internal visibility of customer history and communication for effective knowledge sharing.
  • Health and Safety
    • Comply with all health and safety regulatory obligations and company policies.
    • Take personal responsibility for their own safety and wellbeing.
    • Actively support and promote the safety and wellbeing of colleagues and others in our environment.
    • Be proactive in identifying and reporting hazards, risks, or unsafe practices.

What You’ll Bring
  • Demonstrated success in managing and growing accounts within the fitness or related industry, delivering measurable revenue growth and long-term partnerships.
  • Proven experience in identifying new market opportunities, developing strategic plans, and executing initiatives that expand market presence and drive business growth.
  • Track record of designing and implementing successful go-to-market strategies that achieve commercial objectives and strengthen brand positioning.
  • Extensive understanding of the fitness industry and/or deep expertise in vertical channel development to create tailored solutions for diverse customer segments.
  • Ability to deliver compelling presentations to individuals and groups, influencing stakeholders and decision-makers at all levels.
  • Strong focus on achieving net revenue growth, with intrinsic motivation to deliver results and help partners build better businesses.
