OEM Planner Role Purpose

The OEM Planner plays a critical role in ensuring smooth operations between Naught One and its OEM partners. This role focuses on capacity planning, proactive issue resolution, and maintaining clear communication across internal teams and external suppliers. The OEM Planner will support large project execution, manage OEM inventory alignment, and ensure timely order placement and material availability to meet customer demand.

Responsibilities

/ Key Deliverables
  • Develop and maintain capacity plans with OEM partners based on demand forecasts and project timelines.
  • Collaborate with the Project Team to ensure large-scale projects run smoothly and OEMs are prepared for volume shifts.
  • Supporting orders for Open line and MK customer orders globally
  • Identify and resolve blockers in the OEM supply process, escalating where necessary.
  • Monitor and improve lead times, sharing monthly updates with internal stakeholders.
  • Send accurate and timely orders to OEMs, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
  • Order and manage fabric supply for OEM production.
  • Work with OEMs to accommodate customer order movements and ensure flexibility in production schedules.
  • Monitor OEM-held inventory levels to ensure alignment with forecasted demand.
  • Analyse and review OEM reliability performance with Supplier Development team – suggesting ways to improve supplier performance
Qualifications, Skills, And Experience
  • Experience in supply chain, production planning, or procurement within a manufacturing or OEM environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across internal and external teams.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics NAV) and planning tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
Dimension of role

Based at the Naught One head office in Harrogate, this is a permanent position reporting to the Procurement Manager. As part of a wider team of 6, the role holder will be expected to collaborate closely with the Operations function, as well as the Naught One Sales and Project teams, to ensure seamless coordination between internal planning and OEM partner
